Flagstaff Surgical physicians are passionate about keeping you healthy. All of our doctors use evidence based techniques to diagnose and treat you. The physicians all work closely with each other and continually discuss best treatment plans, techniques and outcomes. This ensures maximum availability to you, the patient, when any questions or concerns arise.

General Surgery

Kate Preston, MD, FACS

Dr. Kate Preston is a board-certified general and breast surgeon. She attended medical school at Louisiana State University in New Orleans and completed residency in Phoenix, AZ at the Phoenix Integrated Surgical Residency Program which offered Level I Trauma Center and excellent general surgery training. She is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Preston started with Flagstaff Surgical Associates in March of 2016. While interested in treating breast issues, she is skilled in all aspects of general surgery.

Daniel E. Wesche, MD, FACS

Dr. Wesche has been practicing general surgery with Flagstaff Surgical since 1998.

Dr. Wesche is Board Certified and a member of the American Medical Association.

Andrew J. Aldridge MD, FACS

Dr. Aldridge has been practicing general surgery with Flagstaff Surgical since 2002. Dr. Aldridge is Board Certified and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Aldridge is one of Flagstaff Surgical’s bariatric surgeons, and has been performing bariatric surgery since 2005.

Dr. Aldridge has special interest in advanced laparoscopy, daVinci robotic system and bariatric surgery. He is a clinical professor of surgery for the University of Arizona and serves as Flagstaff Medical Center’s Surgical Education Medical Director, overseeing third and fourth year surgical residents from the University of Arizona. He served as Trauma Medical Director at Flagstaff Medical Center from 2005 – 2015. He is also on the Northern Arizona Healthcare’s Board of Directors.

My professional affiliations include: American College of Surgeons, Arizona Medical Association (ArMA), Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES), American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS).

Robert A. Berger, MD, FACS

Dr. Berger has been practicing general surgery with Flagstaff Surgical since 2004. He is Board Certified and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Berger also performs bariatric surgery.

Dr. Berger is the Flagstaff Medical Center Trauma Program Assistant Medical Director, and the Bariatric Surgery Program Medical Director.

Brian J. Coates, DO, FACS

Urology

William J. Badger, MD

Dr. Badger has been practicing Urology in Flagstaff since 2008. He is Board Certified and a member of the American Urologic Association

Dr. Badger completed his residency at Albany Medical College in New York, then completed a fellowship in laparoscopic and robotic surgery at the University of Iowa.

Jon Rumohr, MD

Dr. Jon Rumohr moved with his family to Flagstaff in 2014 to be closer to his wife’s home town, and he truly loves northern Arizona. He spends as much time as possible running on the trails surrounding Flagstaff, skiing at Snowbowl, and enjoying all that Northern AZ has to offer. His wife is a practicing dermatologist at Northern Arizona Dermatology, and they have two young daughters.

Originally from rural Michigan, Dr. Rumohr completed his medical school at the University of Michigan, his residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and his fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He has extensive experience in minimally-invasive DaVinci robotic surgery for cancer of the prostate and kidney, and spent several years training resident surgeons in Houston. During his fellowship training, Dr. Rumohr focused primarily on Men’s Health, particularly minimally invasive vasectomy, microscopic vasectomy reversal, treatment of male infertility, testosterone replacement therapy, prostate enlargement (BPH), and the management of erectile dysfuntion (ED). Other areas of interest include treating urinary stones (“kidney stones”), urinary incontinence, office therapy for prostate enlargement, and general urology.

Ear, Nose & Throat

Nate M. Tritle, MD, FACS

Dr. Tritle has been practicing otolaryngology in Flagstaff since 2001. He is Board Certified and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Tritle completed his residency at the University of Utah and has special interest in thyroid and parathyroid disorders.

Heather M. Coffman, MD

Dr. Coffman moved to Flagstaff and joined Flagstaff Surgical Associates in September, 2015. Dr. Coffman treats patients with chronic ear disease, cholesteatomas and hearing loss as well as general ENT conditions.

Dr. Coffman completed her fellowship in Otology at the University of California, Davis.
